Field & Family, LLC is a small, veteran owned, family business tucked away in the mountains of Virginia.

Training Grounds:

Our facility interfaces hundreds of acres of National Forest & trails, and our dogs enjoy a 0.5 acre fenced in training arena. So, our dogs get plenty of opportunity to stretch their legs and test their limits.

Our Process:

Every year, we will be searching across the U.S. to hand-select one puppy from a reputable breeder. We work one-on-one to train the dog in home, field, and city obedience. Every dog we train will be formed as a bird dog, be thoroughly socialized, and be accustomed to go the extra mile. Although trained as bird dogs, Field & Family adventure dogs will be well-suited for any active family setting. By the end of our training program, our trained dogs will be ready for further specialized training in:

• Hunting

• Recreation

• Sports

• Service/Therapy

• Or other work

We also offer tailored training programs through our Custom Pup Program. A special aspect of this program is that we will board & train your newly adopted puppy (or house & train a puppy of your choice) according to our adventure dog standard for up to 8 months. We also offer shorter duration boarding + training sessions by the week (or by the hour for local clients).

Our commitment goes beyond basic obedience—it's about building solid foundations to facilitate lasting bonds between our trained dogs and their future families.
